The Government of Rajasthan has officially opened the application window for the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) training course for the 2026-27 batch. This is a brilliant opportunity for students who want to build a career in the nursing and medical fields. The training lasts for three years and includes a mandatory six-month internship program to give you hands-on clinical experience.

Eligibility Criteria & Subject Requirements
- You must have cleared your Class 12 (10+2) board exams.
- Priority will be given to candidates who studied Biology (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in high school.
- If there are vacant seats, candidates from other streams will also get a chance.
- General, OBC, MBC, and EWS candidates must have scored at least 40% marks in Class 12.
- SC and ST candidates need at least 35% marks to apply.
Age Limit Requirements
Candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before 31st December 2026. The upper age limit is 28 years for male candidates and 34 years for female candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, and MBC receive a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.

Selection Process and Counselling
Selection will be based entirely on a merit list created from your 12th-class marks. Female and male seats are filled in an 80:20 ratio. After the merit list is declared, candidates will need to pay an advance counselling registration fee of Rs. 500 (non-refundable) to secure their college choices.
